Mohammad Yasin (born 15 October 1971) is a British Labour Party politician. He was elected at the 2017 general election as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bedford.[1][2] Prior to his election to parliament he was a local councillor[3] for Queen's Park ward, and served as the Portfolio Holder for Adult Services[4] on Bedford Borough Council from 2015.[5]
In March 2018, Yasin received a suspicious package containing an anti-Islamic letter and sticky liquid. The substance was later found to be harmless. Similar packages were received by fellow Labour MPs Rushanara Ali, Afzal Khan and Rupa Huq.[6][7]
