Tory ‘bribe’ for schools not enough to reverse cuts damage, say Labour and unions

IN A blatant display of election bribery the Tories today announced a £14 billion spending plan for schools.

But the plan was dismissed by Labour as “a con” going nowhere near the amount needed to undo the damage done to the education system by Tory cuts — including axing help for children with special needs.

And Britain’s biggest teaching union said the new cash is “not enough to reverse all of the cuts already made that have so damaged children’s education.”... See more
