Karin Marguerite Smyth(born 8 September 1964) was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bristol South in 2015
Parliamentary career
After becoming an MP at the 2015 general election, Smyth became a member of the Public Accounts Committee in July 2015.
From October 2016 to July 2017, Smyth was Parliamentary Private Secretary to Keir Starmer, Shadow Secretary of State for Exiting the European Union. Since July 2017 she has served as Shadow Deputy Leader of the House of Commons.
