PS249

Aim to restore council spending powers to 2010 levels over the lifetime of the Parliament

Amendment

Description: Increase beyond 2010 levels until the government spend is equal to previous government spend + what the councils were raising adjusted to present prices.

This will allow councils to still raise local tax, but for major improvements to the local environment, such as much improved libraries, parks and regeneration of town centres.
